CCARP says “NSAG may have won a small battle, but WE WILL WIN THE WAR!”
“The Central Coast Artificial Reef Project (CCARP) has faced several disappointments over the last 10 years of our project and we have come back fighting each time. This injunction is no different!” said Sue Dengate
“What concerns us most about this temporary setback is that so many organisations and individuals have been disadvantaged by the selfish act of a few ‘Emotional Terrorists’ who have fabricated stories and placed unfounded fears into the minds of ordinary people” Sue Dengate said
“Consider the charities that have organized fundraising events for the day and spent money in the process. Consider the small businesses that have bought in a huge amount of perishable goods to sell on the big day, only for them to go to waste. Consider the Rotary clubs of the Central Coast that had a HUGE fundraiser taken away from them by these Emotional Terrorists and now won’t be able to support medical research and other worthy causes. These Avoca protesters are a community disgrace and the community has a right to be VERY ANGRY with them” Said Sue Dengate
“Far from being an environmental problem, The Adelaide IS POLLUTANT FREE. There are NO PCBs on this ship! At the time of the Adelaide’s fit-out he wiring would have been PCB free by law! And all other potential PCB carrying items have been removed” said Sue Dengate
“Moreover, the Adelaide will be a wonder of environmental good once she is under the water. The creation of the Adelaide artificial reef will STILL bring a rare experience, creating the evolution of a new marine habitat, a ‘fish nursery’ to replenish local reefs and it will be an educational resource for detailed and long-term scientific work in the field of marine biology.” Sue Dengate said
“We have a message for the No Ships Action Group from Avoca – You have made the good people of Avoca look stupid and you have made a laughing stock of the great people of the Central Coast. You have cost charities and small business money for your own selfish agenda by using lies and deceit and... WE, CCARP will not go away! We will see you in court!” said Sue Dengate
